Girls’ Generation departs for the States

On January 30th, Girls’ Generation strode through the departure gates of Incheon International Airport for their flight to New York City.

The girl group will guest on two major American talk shows, CBS‘s ‘The Late Show with David Letterman‘ and ABC‘s ‘Live! With Kelly‘. As allkpop reported earlier, the girls will appear on ‘Letterman’ on the 31st, before moving onto ‘Live! With Kelly’ for February 1st.

Girls’ Generation were greeted by a large crowd of fans, many of whom flew in from Japan and even Taiwan to send the girls their well-wishes.

As for their airport fashion, the girls opted for ‘comfortable chic’ due to the length of their flight. Their style points were sunglasses, short jackets with long mufflers, and ankle boots.

On January 30th, B2ST‘s Yoseob revealed a photo of fellow member Junhyung sleeping on the floor.

Though the photo looks cute at first, it drew some concern after Yoseob wrote the following explanation: “Going to the studio in the morning, band practice, and choreography practice, [Junhyung] even drank an energy drink… but he couldn’t take it and fell asleep on the cold floor. On January 27th, a post titled, ‘SNSD Jessica’s jawline under suspicion of plastic surgery‘ has surfaced with a collection of photos.

The post features a compilation of photos featuring Jessica’s face from her debut days until now. In these, her jawline is highlighted for comparison as the writer attempts to point out the changes.

The writer went on to say, “At the time of her debut, her jawline had a small protrusion to form an angle, but recently it seems to have become smooth. Her face line has changed.”

While accusations of plastic surgery are often defended by the possibility of naturally growing through puberty or varying camera angles, it’s been pointed out that all of these photos were taken after Jessica’s debut and showcase her face from similar perspectives.

A few photos surfaced on an online community board on January 15th with the title ‘Ultimate Korean Beauty‘, and one was a compilation photo of the current top female actresses, while the other was a compilation photo of the current top female idol stars..

The first photo compilation, compiled the faces of of Kim Tae Hee, Lee Young Ae, Han Ga In, Song Hye Kyo, Son Yejin, Lee Min Jung, and more. The Korean production of Broadway musical ‘Catch Me If You Can’ has finally revealed its all-star cast!

K-Pop fans will be excited to know that Girls’ Generation‘s Sunny, SHINee‘s Key, Super Junior‘s Kyuhyun, and CSJH‘s Dana were included alongside musical actors like Lee Jung Hee, Lee Jung Ryul, Kim Bum Rae, Lee Gun Myung, Um Ki Jun, Park Kwan Hyung, Kim Jung Hoon, Jun Soo Kyung, Seo Ji Young, and Choi Woo Ri.

The musical, made possible through SM Entertainment, CJ E&M, and M Musical Art, will be put on through March 28th through June 10th.

Kyuhyun and Key will be playing the role of ‘Frank’, while Dana and Sunny will be playing ‘Brenda’, Frank’s love.

Lee Min Ho and Park Min Young break up ??

To many fans’ sadness, it has just been revealed that ‘City Hunter‘ couple, Park Min Young and Lee Min Ho, have broken up.
After completing SBS‘s ‘City Hunter’, the duo had revealed their relationship to the public during the summer last year. Although Park Min Young and Lee Min Ho called it quits a while ago, they were reluctant to reveal their separation as they had to consider their agencies’ positions.
Park Min Young’s side stated, “It has been a while since the two met. Because it was embarrassing to directly reveal that they broke up and she had to consider the agency’s position, she did not reveal that she cleaned up their relationship.”
The agency continued, “They became strangers before the 2011 Acting Awards. With this reason, Park Min Young and Lee Min Ho had attended two different award ceremonies… Lee Min Ho went to SBS Acting Awards, while Park Min Young had went to the KBS Acting Awards.”
The biggest reason the two parted ways laid in their busy schedules. Park Min Young’s side stated, “Park Min Young had to film for KBS‘s ‘Man of Honor‘, she did not have time to rest for a while. Lee Min Ho also had to film for his advertisements and attend his oversea activities, and we know that he is very busy… The two could not meet often and naturally broke up.”
Lee Min Ho’s agency is still confirming the news with the actor as a representative stated, “After we saw the reports that Lee Min Ho and Park Min Young broke up, we haven’t yet confirmed it with him… If the two had broken up, Lee Min Ho would have told us and there has been no story yet.”

Junhyung’s fans have come forth with the statement that, “Contrary to reports, Junhyung’s bracelet is not a couple bracelet, but a birthday wish bracelet that his fans gave to him last December 19th. On the January 27th broadcast of SBS FM‘s ‘Park So Hyun’s Love Game‘, Taeyeon, Sooyoung, and Seohyun appeared as guests and revealed some interesting info about the group.
During the show, a past article about Seohyun being picked as the member who cares the most about her appearance was brought up.  Taeyeon and Sooyoung explained, “At the time, [We] chose Jessica, but our responses were overshadowed by the louder voices of the other members.  Seohyun was probably chosen because she looks at the mirror the most.”
